Countin' Down the Days

So, for me, school starts next Monday. That means I won't be able to sew as much until my sewing area in my basement is finished. Therefore, I've been pretty busy today and yesterday sewing =) I'm really proud of the item I'm about to show you ;)

Can you guess what it is?

      How about now?

      Any ideas?

If you guessed a pull over sweater-style top, then ding ding ding! We have a winner! I made this with my own pattern, and I'm super proud! ;D here's another photo just because I love ya!

I like how that one turned out. In fact, I like how all of them turned out! Isn't that crazy?!? I must be in a really good mood today XD

...just a closer look at the shirt/sweater ;) I realized I'd never shown the backs of a top before, so there ya have it, folks! Except I usually have Velcro the full length of the back. But I felt like going only halfway yesterday, so yeah. Oh! And I just wanted to point out that no, it's not just double topstitching for the hems, they all have cuffs/casings whatever they're called and a single line of topstitching for durability =) so, whaddaya think? I really like it ^.^ look forward to a cream tee with a modified neckline and a spaghetti strap tank top tomorrow ;D have a fabulous evening!

    1. Aww, thank you so so so much!!! That means a ton to me! ♥ I totally recommend finding one (making one is easy, too. Perhaps sometime I'll make a tutorial on making patterns)! They're just too cute XD ugh, you're so lucky! A few years ago my school district made us start school earlier than usual so we would get out earlier, but with all the snow PA has gotten these past few years we're still getting out close to the twentieth of June =/

    2. You're welcome! Yeah, a tutorial would be great! :) Oh yeah, my school got out on the 11, but instead of gaining extra days for any weather, we just get extra homework on those days. :/

    3. Awesome! I'll make a note of it, so expect one in the next few days =) haha, I was supposed to get out on the eleventh XD it didn't happen though. Hmm, I think I like that method better than having to hack on days to the end of the year ;) but then again, I hate homework more than anything else so maybe not XD

    1. Thank you so much!!! It was actually easier than I expected, to be honest, the mini doll dress I made a few weeks back was way harder XD

    4. And thank you so, so much!!! ;D ♥ I will, I promise ;) I just need to have my sewing area finished at my house, because at the moment I'm only able to use my grandma's sewing machine at her house ;)

  4. Ugg Awesome!!!! That is an awesome sweater! I can't sew at all.... ( Seriously, all I have ever sewn is a pair of gray doll pants with my grandma that don't fit.... ;0) ) But I REALLY want to learn. So cool you made your own pattern.

    1. Thanks so much, Zoë!!! Hey, when I first started sewing I literally couldn't even sew the Velcro in on the right sides, or hem it correctly, or figure out how to sew an elastic casing, etc., etc...either way, if you keep at it you won't believe how far you'd come ;)
