Meet Scarlette :)

Hey guys. :) so, for the past month or so, Saige hasn't been getting her fair share of attention- or any attention at all, really. She's been sitting in the same outfit on the girls' bunk beds for weeks on end, and the other day I realised it was because I just wasn't happy with her name- it just didn't have anything special about it. I've always wanted to rename her (flashback to the Ainsley post), but I just couldn't decide on a name that suited her.

Well, now she has one.

Ever since I renamed her, Scarlette has been in three photo shoots and has many more planned. :) so, without further ado, I present to you...

Scarlette Amelia Copeland.

You can expect to see lots more of this girl in the future. ;) just a reminder, Sunday is the last day to get your AGPC entries up! Everyone who has entered so far has super great photos! Keep it up, guys ^_^ thanks for reading :)

In the Freshly Fallen Snow

Yes, it was Lanie holding the camera. :)

The camera is the keychain I mentioned in a post a few weeks back when I was like "yeah mini haul coming soon"...the thing I didn't post? Yeah...it's so cute though I love it!!! It looks so realistic. ^_^

Congrats to Shelby-Grace, Leah M., and A Doll's Life for guessing correctly! :)

I was nominated for two more awards in the past day or so, and originally I was gonna add those to this post, but I'll just post again tomorrow. :)

Thanks for reading! Have a great night. :)

The "You're a Great Photographer" Award

Hi :) I had a snow day today and I'm 99% sure I'll be off again tomorrow. Yay! More time for me to "forget" about the homework I should be doing...

Anyways, today I was nominated for the You're a Great Photographer award by the lovely Leah from American Girl Chick! Thanks so much :)

The Rules:

1. Nominate 3-7 blogs for this award and make a link to the blog.
2. If you are nominated, give 1 of your photography tips and answer the questions given.
3. Go comment on a post of the person you nominated letting them know they were nominated.
4. Copy the picture above on your post.
5. Link your post back to the original post.
6. Add the picture to your tool bar or page.
7. Copy these rules onto your post.
8. Have fun!

Okay, here's my tip:

I know this is pretty much what everyone else says, but good lighting is a must! I reccomend taking pictures in daylight, but not when the sun is directly overhead; sunset or sunrise are the vest times to go put and take photos. :)

And now for the questions:

1.) What camera do you use?
I use the Canon Rebel XT. It's a wonderful camera, despite being an older model lacking quite a few of the features the newer Rebels have, like for example, being able to take videos. I love it, although technically it's my grandpa's- he gave it to me when he bought himself a new camera (the T3i)- and I hope to buy myself a newer camera soon that's really mine. :)

2.) Which one of your dolls is the most photogenic?
Oh, Emerson (#55), without a doubt. That girl is by far the most photogenic doll I own. ♥

3.) Do you like indoor photography better, or outdoor?
I really love outdoor photography, but indoor photography is usually more convenient, plus I feel like it has made me a better photographer when faced with the challenges of lighting indoors and such.

4.) Which season is your favorite to take photos of your dolls?
Hmm...I honestly can't choose. I love certain things about each season, like for example; in fall, you get gorgeous autumn colors, in summer you get lots of greens (not to mention more bokeh opportunities, at least where I live), in spring everything comes back to life, which is always pretty in photos, and in winter you get snow, which makes for cute photos and also acts as a natural reflector ;)

Thanks again Leah! I had lots of fun answering these. :)

I nominate:
Mama Hen from The Pony Tales Sisters
Polka Dot Bee from Polka Dot Bee
Claire from Carrot and Claire
Zoƫ from Glowy Zoe

My questions are the same as the ones I answered because I'm lazy xP

Here's another spoiler photo because I love you ;)

Comment which doll you think is holding the camera- if you guess correctly you'll get a shout out in the photo shoot post ;) thanks for reading, and have a great night!

Clear Skies and Snowy Nights

It finally snowed the other day- not much, but it still stuck to the ground long enough for me to take pictures. :) It's supposed to snow another 4-6 inches tonight, so hopefully tomorrow or Sunday I'll get another shoot up.

A little while back I asked what dolls you wanted to see more of; a lot of you said Jade, so this afternoon I took her out for a shoot and I'm quite happy with the turnout, even if I did freeze my hands off while doing it. ;) She really is a cutie. ♥

Just a reminder, tomorrow's the last day to post your OOTW for the collective post on Sunday (also, Sunday's the start of the first official season of AGPC- are you guys excited?). :)

Comment your favorite photo down below. :) Thanks for reading!
